Five Types Of Windows That Add A Style Element To Your Home Decor

A window is an indispensable part of a room. It not only allows the inlet of air and sunlight in the room but also contributes to enhancing the beauty and ambience of the room. So, here are 5 types of windows, which one can install to add a style element to your home decor.

1.Bay Windows

Bay windows or French windows are the top choices when it comes to enhancing the look of your room. These windows can be installed in your living space, bedroom or even your kid’s space. These create a bay like space in the room adding to the elegance of the area.

There is nothing as amazing as sitting by a window when it rains. Installing a UPVC bay window is a smart choice as these are way more durable than the wooden window. These are also affordable than the traditional aluminum windows.

2.Sliding Windows

If you have a garden view living room, you should consider installing a sliding window. It allows a clear view of the outside but at the same time is safe and strong. These cannot be hampered and are difficult to break in as they feature a double lock.

These are available in different sizes according to the room. The number of sashes varies according to the space available to install these, a minimum of 2 sashes being the traditional design. Using double glazed glasses for windows and doors is a smart step as this would help you to reduce your energy bills.

3.Single or Double Hung Windows

A single hung window features a single lower movable sash that is capable of moving vertically and its top sash is static. A double hung window, on the contrary, has two movable sashes both of which are capable of moving vertically. In both the cases, the sashes do not protrude out.
Such windows are ideal for the rooms that face walkways, decks or porches and go well with other locations as well. These are available in different shapes and sizes. UPVC windows can hold AC units safely as these can be slid up to create space for the unit.

4.Casement Windows

The casement windows are hinged to the frame from one or more side. These are available in an array of designs like French, push top, top down etc. Another major advantage of casement window is its single handle latches, which can be used to open the window in any direction. Given the nature of opening of the sash, it is advisable to install the window in an area with ample space.

5.Picture Window

A picture window is ideal for a house that has breathtaking scenic views. These are fixed in nature and allow the maximum amount of light and the views of the outside. To ensure that these windows do not escalate your energy cost, make sure to used double glazed glasses for windows and doors.
